To celebrate the beginning of Spring and the “paddling season”, come and join us North-dwellers for a long weekend of paddling and meeting new buddies on and around the stunning Waioeka River!
Lock in the dates – Oct 23 at 10:30 AM – Oct 26 at 2:30 PM
Based at Ohiwa campground, the surrounding rivers provide a nice array of challenges to keep paddlers at different levels entertained without the “freeze factor” of glacial melt waters! For those of you who want to make a longer trip of it, there is a sweet selection of multi-day options for before or after the meet.
Cost for the weekend will be $50 per person (plus PRANZ membership if you don’t already have it) which includes a dinner on Saturday night. Please also remember that we do shared shuttles and the etiquette is to bring some cash to put in for petrol with whoever gives you a lift.
You need to book your own accommodation at Ohiwa Beach Holiday Park Everyone being at the one place makes logistics and socialising easier.
Being a long weekend, a lot of the fancy accommodation was already gone, but we have had the remaining cabins and holiday flat put aside for us. First in first served and they get released back to the public at the end of July. If you want to book one of these, ring Ohiwa Beach Holiday Park and let them know you would like to book some accommodation for the PRANZ weekend. If you miss out on a cabin, there is heaps of camping available which you should be able to book right up to the weekend of the meet. We’d recommend you book your accommodation ASAP, especially if you wanna be fancy pants with a roof and stuff.
You need to be PRANZ member to attend.
